We promised to keep you in the loop about fun things happening in our community– you don’t want to miss Macy’s Arts Sampler This Saturday, March 2!
Join us for Action! Adventure! Art! in Downtown Cincinnati.
Enjoy a wide variety of events all around Washington Park that showcase the thrilling side of the arts. Listen to amazing music at the Choral Sampler hosted by the Cincinnati Boychoir at Memorial Hall starting at 10 am.
Then, you won’t want to miss “Heroes and Villains”, a very special joint concert featuring the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Opera, May Festival, and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company at 1 pm at Music Hall. This action-packed concert includes blockbuster classical music from Romeo & Juliet, Aida, Don Giovanni, and more.
Seating is first-come, first-served– no reservations or tickets required. Doors open at Noon. Food trucks will be in Washington Park to make lunch easy. Or – enjoy one of the many excellent restaurants on Vine Street – one block to the East of Washington Park.
After the concert, head for the School for Creative and Performing Arts for great family adventure activities. Learn circus tricks from My Nose Turns Red, see a sword-fighting demonstration by the UC College Conservatory of Music Drama Department, make a hero mask and fake stage blood, and track down the four Pones Inc. Action Adventure dancers to learn their super-moves!
Plus, we’ve got neighborhood events in Springfield Township, Kennedy Heights, Mariemont, Northside, Columbia-Tusculum and more!
